Photo 7: Fresh exposure of magnetite-bearing biotite gneiss of the Sangerville Formation (Ssmg). This rock contains both large grains of magnetite up to 0.5 inches across (one can be seen just above the red pen magnet), and fine-grained magnetite disseminated within the darker biotite rich layers. West of Old Greene Road, Lewiston.
