    Description

This low quality print, apparently copied from a printed source long ago is interesting. The camera appears to be on the rear platform of a caboose or passenger car just passing over the points of the Junction switch. To the left is the Main Line to Calais and points in Washington County. Straight ahead is the Main Line to Hancock Point and the Ferry to Bar Harbor. No date or info with the print other than location. Both signals are gone as is the station building. However the overhead fuel or water tank is still standing and remains a reliable land mark. Ca. 2021 the track is still active being used by the Down East Scenic Railroad and home to MECs' #470 which is under going restoration by the New England Steam Crop. /DL
