Photo 3: This rock from the quartzite member of the Cape Elizabeth Formation (Oceq) displays very thick quartzite layers and a lack of interlayered schist. The complex, nearly recumbent folds are truncated at the top of the image by sub-horizontal, thinly layered quartzite. Steele Road near Marsh Stream, Monroe.
