Description

Back in the days when taking a simple photograph was an event, long before the iPhone. The back of this old photo is blank except for the location and date: 1939. My guess is a 4 man train crew and a couple of switch tenders maybe? The 2-8-0, Number 523 came from Schenectady built by American Locomotive Company. It was an MEC Class W1 built in December of 1913 and scrapped in December 1950. /DL
