Description

This excellent photograph is from the collection of Harold K Vollrath of Shawnee Mission, Kansas who gave permission for any of his prints to be reproduced. His note indicates the scene was taken at Rigby Yard in July of 1940. A Class W-2, MEC # 527 was build by the American Locomotive Company at Schenectady in March of 1914 the 3rd in an order of 4 locomotives. Serial 54566 it was sold in March of 1951. /DL
