Description

The hi-lite of this scene is the MEC cattle car #1606. I doubt there are more than a small hand full of photographs of any MEC Cattle Cars. The logo on the box car right behind #1606 looks to be for the New York New Haven and Hartford. This Picture Post Card was postmarked April 21st 1914 at 5PM addressed to Dyer Brook, Maine. No amplifying information. The scene is looking timetable east towards the bridge over the Carrabassett River. North Anson was on the Bingham or Kineo Branch. C2021, Google Maps shows the bridge still in place with track ending at the north end of the bridge. Track is present to the south but apparently out of service. /DL
