Description

These old B&W colorized post cards leave a lot to be desired. The B&W contact prints are much better..... The sign says Newport Jct. The card was postmarked Oct 6 1922 destined for Providence, RI. In 2021 all the RR buildings are gone & the Foxcroft Branch has been a rail trail for years, go there's no Junction any more. If I've got the geography properly indexed the train is east bound for Bangor and the east switch for the branch is just beyond the passenger shelter. /DL
