Description
This film by Chet Chase shows his brother Verdon "Pug" Chase operating Chet's portable mill somewhere in Whitefield probably in the mid 1950's. Chet's 16mm camera recorded in color. He was interested in recording the whole milling process. His father Harry Chase and his wife Emma had brought their young family to Whitefield from New Hampshire to cut box boards from thee tall pine of Whitefield's Sheepscot river valley.
