Unconformity between The Forks Formation (S) and the Dead River Formation (Ord-Cambrian). Calcareous metasiltstone of The Forks Formation is beneath the hammer. Phyllite of the Dead River Formation is shown in lower part of photo. Unconformiity is the irregular surface between marked by thin conglomerate. See the sketch map for the relationships of rock units at this location. Photo location is lower left of map.
