Moose Cave is one of four bedrock gorges occupied by the modern Bear River in Grafton Notch State Park. These gorges were likely initiated by powerful sediment-laden glacial meltwater flow that followed and scoured out pre-existing bedrock fractures. View upstream, person for scale photo center.
