Description

Easily accessible roadside outcrop. MAP CAPTION- Photo 17: Thinly laminated limestone interbedded with quartzite and calc-silicate granofels of the Coombs Limestone (Zc). The quartzite and granofels are very fine grained. While there is a variety of rock types in the Coombs Limestone map unit, this thinly bedded type is predominant. Glinting penny for scale. Road cut north side of Russell Avenue at intersection with Beauchamp Street, Rockport.
