Description

MAP CAPTION- Photo 7: Folded mass of pink coticule (garnet-quartz rock) in the Megunticook Formation. Coticule, though not abundant, is common in the Megunticook. The chemical composition of coticule from this locality was studied by Thomson (2001). Large road cut on Route 52, about 0.6 mile north of Molyneaux Road. Vertical groove is a drill mark from road construction.
