Description
Fluvial processes dominate the modern Ellis Pond quadrangle landscape. Several waterfalls in the quadrangle such as Coos Canyon (pictured here), Ellis Falls, Silver Ripple Cascade, and Devil’s Den may have been established by powerful glacial meltwater flow, but they continue to be shaped by modern streams and rivers.
