Description
This building looks more like a section house than station. There is no train order signal, and no bay window for the station agent to look down the track. Just in case Lambert Lake isn't on your long list of places in Maine that you have visited it is on Rt6 and at MP P245.5 on the MEC main line to Vanceboro which is at P250.8 give or take. The 1967 track chart indicates that there was a block signal at Lambert Lake number 2454 for westbound and 2453 for eastbound traffic plus a couple of sidings. /DL

MEC Employee Time Table No10 for the summer of 1936 lists the mile marker for Lambert Lake as 108.7 miles from Bangor. As a side bar this line was built by the European and North American RR company to broad gauge @ 5'6" and was regauged to standard when the MEC leased it in Sept. of 1877. /DL
