This scene is from a c1930s copy of what looks to be a c1890s scene with trolley tracks in the foreground crossing The MEC at Allen Ave. One of my better eBay finds on the internet years ago. Photographer unknown. This crossing and signal must have been busy managing the gates on Allen Ave as well as the ball signal telling the trolley its status to cross the MEC 2 track main line (single track c2021). The passenger and freight traffic over this double track 'back in the day' would have been considerable. /DL
