Description

The original cabinet photo is difficult to read, but it looks like this is the MEC station at Damariscotta Mills on the Rockland Branch at Mile P58.16. The two box cars are Grand Trunk 28479 and Maine Central 8050. It looks like an apprentice telegrapher is standing in the doorway... Estimated date is 1890. On the back of the mounting board a name 'F.James Bergmann" apparently indicates an earlier owner of the print, so we'll credit his estate for putting this photo on eBay. /DL
