On the back of this print: - Maine Central wreck at Veazie, Me April 2 1895 – now you know as much as I do... The photographer did some climbing to make this scene. I suspect elsewhere are photographs of the locomotive that would reveal the nature of the accident... Accidents like these, where the cars were of wooden structure, prompted the adoption of stronger steel car bodies to protect passengers. /DL
