Description
Service to Rockwood and Moosehead Lake has was discontinued years ago. The crib work wharf is in disrepair and behind the float plane I suspect the station building and passenger shelter isn't in much better shape. It looks like the engine house is just to the left of the station in the distance. The multi car garage on the right resides on the old MEC passenger storage yard. The garage was used to store automobiles for visitors to the Kineo Hotel which was still open in season in the 50s. CA. 2020 this area is a public access area for access to the lake and Kineo's golf course the engine house and station are long gone.
