Description

At it's greatest extent ca.1927 the Rangely Branch extended some 99 miles northward (Timetable Eastward) from Rumford Junction to Kennebago via towns and whistle stops like Mechanic Falls, The Pond, Buckfield, Anasagunticook, Dixfield, Rumford, Frye, Hop City, & Bemis to name a few. The Junction and the location of this quiet station scene were located just west of Auburn on MEC's Back Road main line. /DL
