1895 06 MEC Report of Ticket Sales Coburn Steamboat Co

Description

If I'm remembering my Maine History properly the Coburn Steamboat Co operated only on Moosehead Lake. Apparently the Steamboat Co sold RR tickets as part of their travel planning and assistance services for vessel passengers upon Moosehead Lake. This would dovetail with MEC's ownership of the Kineo House. If I'm decoding this document properly the lake transit company sold just over $110 dollars worth of MEC tickets in June of 1895. Note the ticket serial numbers were inventoried as well. This oversight was made within the MEC system itself as I've seen ledgers of monthly ticket inventory kept by station agents. /DL
