Description
This is a photograph of a boarding house for men who worked at the North Jay quarry. There were a number of boarding houses built around this area to provide housing for workers who came from around the world to work in the North Jay quarries. Company offices were at the rear to the building and the company store was located in the front. The second floor had a kitchen and dining room. Sleeping quarters were upstairs.
