The Integrated Pest Management, or IPM, within the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry (ACF) is an environmentally sound approach to managing pests such as insects, weeds, microbes, and wildlife on the farms, in our communities and in our homes. IPM relies on proper pest identification, monitoring, and combinations of smart tactics to protect people, crops, and the environment. The Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry’s IPM Program specializes in IPM of vegetables, greenhouses, livestock, and schools.
