Description
"I. and F." are likely brothers Isaac and Frederick Burpee, who opened a hardware store in Saint John, New Brunswick, in the 1840s, and eventually became lumber dealers. The extensive order, totaling $765, suggests that the Burpee store may have been a supplier to a dealer in Aroostook County.
Other documents in the folder, including a bill dated September 29, 1866, point to McLean and Dowling.
