Description
Maine Insane Hospital Letter Regarding Samuel Burbank, May 7, 1860 is a letter notifying the Cumberland Overseers of the Poor on the condition of Samuel Burbank, a Cumberland pauper. The letter notes that the “excessive politeness which troubled him when he came is gradually abating and he begins to appear more natural.” Burbank was declared well enough to return home in June 1860.
