Description
In the early 1950's Whitefield had finally voted to build a consolidated school . This would replace the existing 5 one room schools ( 2 had two floors). To celebrate the purchase of the site on Grand Army Road, the students all gathered at the North Whitefield school where a field day began with games before the long parade down the hill to the school site. Here Chet Chase records the parade through the village and down the steep Grand Army hill.
