Description
Records of Westport, Maine (DAR Genealogical Compilation), Part 7. Originally compiled as a single volume with separately paginated sections including a preface (with Vital Records Book I) and a comprehensive surname index. Compiled by the Mary Kelton Dummer Chapter, Maine Daughters of the American Revolution, ca. 1934–1935.
Part of the Records of Westport, Maine (DAR Genealogical Records) series. This volume serves as a comprehensive surname index to multiple sections of the DAR compilation, including Vital Records Books I–IV, cemetery inscriptions, the 1850 Federal Census transcription, and the Dunton family genealogy. Entries are organized alphabetically by surname and provide page references to the original compilation, enabling researchers to locate individuals across birth, marriage, burial, census, and genealogical records. Page references correspond to the original separately paginated sections of the DAR compilation. Major family names indexed include Bailey, Brooks, Colby, Dunton, Greenleaf, Heal, Hodgdon, Jewett, Knight, McKinney, Parsons, Tarbox, Webber, Willis, and many related families documented in Westport Island history.
