"Excursion to ST. Georges Harbor 9.30 A. M. Address, Unveiling Cross, Hoisting Flags and Firing Salutes at St. Georges Harbor; UNVEILING TABLET AT THOMASTON 3 O’clock P. M. with Addresses; Addresses at Watts Hall in the Evening; U. S. Monitor Arkansas will join in Celebration on the River and come up near Thomaston and be open to visitors July 6 and 7; Steamers Bristol and Castine will take excursionists. Effort is being made for further accomodations; Tickets Round Trip 50 Cents; Excursionists will need to takes Basket Luncheon as the return to Thomaston will be too late for dinner."
