Description
The concept of licensing building contractors, and in particular residential building contractors, has been the subject of numerous discussions in the Legislature for the past decade. During the 121st Legislature, the Joint Standing Committee on Business, Research and Economic Development directed the Commissioner of Professional and Financial Regulation to conduct a Sunrise Review of LD 1551 “An Act to License Home Building Contractors and Improvement Contractors.”
