Description

The Commission to Study the Use of Pharmaceuticals in Long-Term Care Settings was created by Resolves 1997, chapter 71. Commission membership included representatives of long-term care recipients, long-term care pharmacists, long-term care pharmacy providers, a physician and a nurse with long-term care experience, 2 members of the Joint Standing Committee on Health and Human Services and one other legislator, and a pharmacist or designee from the Department of Human Services with expertise in Medicaid reimbursement. The Commission was directed to examine the use of pharmaceuticals in long-term care settings.
