Description
Petition from former Passamaquoddy Chief Francis Joseph Neptune [1735-1834] and other tribal members expressing dismay at the removal of Indian Agent Peter Goulding, and his replacement by Jonas Farnsworth.
"Mr. Goulding has always given them [the tribe] entire satisfaction and they have full confidence in his honesty and ability, and he has always dealt with them like a Father to his children."
