Our first plane ride. I think the pilots name was Harjula but my grandmother, Lizzie Philbrook, just referred to him as "Hijula". This is my sister Marcia and me. I am guessing that this was around 1947/48?
The landing field was kind of at the end of the road above Sand Beach and it was literally a field! I think it's all blue spruce now.
