Description

Entries include a typed letter from a Kingfield, Maine, poet on personal stationery to the Maine state librarian, Henry Ernest Dunnack, searching for a publisher for a book of his poems, a typed reply from Dunnack with a list of publishers, the book jacket cover artwork for Winter in Maine and Other Poems featuring a man and an ox-driven sled pulling wood in the Maine snow, with a publisher announcement, description, and a list of booksellers carrying the title, a handwritten letter from Wilson presenting this inscribed book for the Maine Author Collection, several newspaper book review clippings with some biographical information and photographic images of Wilson, his Kingfield, Maine, home, some woodcarvings, and appearing on skis, a newspaper column clipping written by Alice Frost Lord with a story about Wilson's boat travel to England and a poem, a newspaper clipping of his poem "Ballad of New Orleans," a tear sheet poem from Yankee magazine with the photographic reprint image of a man we presume to be Wilson leaning on a fence in a hat and a plaid shirt and a smaller photographic image of an ox-driven plow tilling soil, a handwritten letter on plain paper with Wilson's plans to publish in spring "to beat the atom bomb!," a typed letter sent with an article written 25 years previous with designs for a Maine woods sled, and a typed letter thanking Wilson for his gift to the Maine State Library.
