Maine Woods was published in Phillips, Maine from 1900 to 1909 and includes articles that tell the rich history of Maine's sporting traditions. Thanks to the generous support of the Rangeley Outdoor Sporting Heritage Museum this periodical is in the process of being digitized so that it can be accessed and read online here. We expect to add more issues of this paper in the future.
This project would not have been possible without the partnership of the Phillips Historical Society and Museum in Phillips, Maine. The organization has been stewards of the most complete collection of the Maine Woods Newspaper and has provided access to all of their volumes for the purposes of digitization and permanent public access.
