Description
Full transcript of the meeting of the Maine Acadian Culture Preservation Advisory Commission held in Fort Kent on April 7, 1995 and chaired by Richard G. Dumont (president of the University of Maine at Fort Kent). Commission members approved summary reports of prior meetings and the 1994 annual report. Bruce Jacobson reported on the NPS planning process, the rescission bill before Congress, and other means of supporting Acadian culture. Judy Paradis reported on the Heritage Council working group; John Martin presented the efforts of the Site Selection working group. Don Cyr, Bernette Albert, and Alain Ouellette spoke during the public comment period.
