    Post Office, Kittery Point, Maine. Written on back: 'Clarkson's Grocery Store is building to left (Thomas Clarkson & Son). The Golden Cross Hall was over the post office. Order of United American Mechanics met there and at one time John Thaxter and Noah Emery held debating group meetings there. About 1900-1901 the trial of Charles McCloud for the murder of Sarah MacDonald was held in the hall.'
