"TIDY GOES BOATING — Tidy, the raccoon symbol of the Keep Maine Scenic program, is going to go cruising in the months ahead as he wages his anti-litter campaign. This cartoon will appear on 120,000 copies of the Bureau of Watercraft Registration & Safety’s new boating guide and law book and also on 50,000 copies of a navigation aids rules and regulation booklet to be issued by the State Park and Recreation Commission. Tidy was created by artist Sid Maxell of Portland and was copyrighted by the State of Maine."
