Located in Blue Hill, Maine, the Jonathan Fisher House is a nonprofit organization working to perpetuate the memory, spirit, works and teachings of the Reverend Jonathan Fisher.
Fisher was the first settled Congregational minister in Blue Hill. In addition to his duties as a country parson, he was an artist, farmer, scientist, mathematician, surveyor, and writer of prose and poetry.
The group maintains Fisher's 1814 Federal-style homestead, which is open seasonally to the public for tours, educational programming and access to collections belonging to Jonathan Fisher, his descendants, and of the period in which he lived, in order that his life may serve as an inspiration to others.
In an effort to provide greater access to collections relating to Jonathan Fisher, the organization is building an online collection that will be accessible here.
