Description
This shows the Riley Mill and the railroad tracks there. The Riley Mill was established in 1897 and produced raw pulp for the Otis Mill. In 1898, the mill started up with 12 grinders and 17 wet machines. The pulp was dried on the wet machines and then folded into bundles or "laps". The laps were then loaded onto railcars and shipped to the Otis Mill. Later the pulp was transported via a pipeline that connected the two mills.
