Historical Photographs taken by the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. Group of photos identified as "Togue and trout ". Photo identified as "Fish taken through the ice this winter on various Maine Lakes and Ponds are being checked by research personnel of the ME Dept. of Inland Fisheries and Game. A recent catch of Lake trout at Lake Thompson in Oxford is examined above by Regional Fishery Biologist Stuart DeRoche of Springvale (Left). Ice Fishermen (L to R) are Norman Polland and Robert Small, both of Crescent Lake. Assisting DeRoche in collecting data is Duane Murphy of Norway (R). Information obtained will contribute toward interpretation of life histories of Maine's fish species in various waters throughout the state.".
