Historical Photographs taken by the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. Group of photos identified as "Togue and trout ". Photo identified as "During noon break for lunch, ice fishermen (L to R) Robert Gordon, Richard Boyman and Kenneth Hawkes display a catch of togue (Lake Trout) taken at Lake Thompson in Oxford, Maine. Like other fishermen trying their luck on various lakes and ponds throughout Maine, these Gorham men are cooperating with the Maine Dept. of Inland Fisheries and Game in providing information on fish taken through the ice. Their catches have been checked this winter by Regional Fishery Biologist Stuart DeRoche of Springvale. Information obtained in fishery projects will contribute toward interpretation of life histories of Maine's fish species in various regions of the state.".
