Description
Historical Photographs taken by the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. Group of photos identified as "Misc Marshes ". Photo identified as "Construction underway at site of small marsh project in Madison (Somerset County). Prefabricated form at left center of photo is used when pouring concrete water control structure. Water levels are extremely important in providing ideal nesting conditions for waterfowl. Purpose of the small marsh program being conducted by the Game division is to increase the number of such areas of small water acreage to encourage water-fowl and fur-bearer production.".
