Henry L. Foss's "Wounded in Action" certificate from Headquaters First Division dated January 1, 1920. The light text reads" Private Henry L. Foss Co. D, 3rd M. G. Bn." " who was wounded in action" "in the Mense-Argonne Offensive, October 9, 1918." Certificate photographed first with the typed paper left in place and then again without the white paper, which was just tucked into the frame.
