The World War II Civil Defense Volunteer Registration Cards were used to identify, register and organize volunteers for home front roles. They included demographic and personal information as well as about their education, training, skills, areas they wish to serve and availability.
This collection from the Falmouth Historical Society was made available here through the efforts of local volunteers who knew this information would be of interest to the families of those who stepped forward to help with the war effort.
