The Fish Trap Shown Here is of the Tidal Type. It is Placed As a Partial Barrier To the Fish As They Migrate Upstream To Spawn. At Low Tide, the Fish Stranded in the Trap are Removed. These Fish are Used As Lobster Bait, Human Food, Pet Food and Fertilizer. Some of the Fish are Used To Stock Streams Where Populations are Low Or Non-Existent At Present.
