Description
The first man-raised sea harvest - These delectable Maine Oysters, raised under man's guidance in the New Meadows River in Brunswick, represent the first marketable product raised in Maine Waters. The continuing aquaculture project has been under the joint sponsorship of the Maine Deptment of Sea and Shore Fisheries and the Town of Brunswick. Note the remnants of scallop shells on which the oyster "spats" attached themselves to begin growing.
