Description
The USS 'Fiske' was a Gearing-class destroyer of the United States Navy. It was built by Bath Iron Works and launched on September 8, 1945. Based out of Portland, Maine the 'Fiske' served as an engineering ship for the Destroyer Force, Atlantic Fleet. It was awarded, among others, two battle stars for its service in the Korean War and two service medals for its service during the Vietnam War.
