The primary purpose of the Office of Audit - MaineCare and Social Services within the Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is to conduct compliance audits and cost settlement close-outs at approximately 600 different provider organizations and/or community agencies that are entrusted with over $1.1 billion dollars of State and Federal funds.
