Description
Maine Performs! was an initiative started by Maine arts organizations in late 2009. With support from the Maine Arts Commission and the Maine Office of Tourism it grew into a 22 member consortium. The initiative promoted the Maine performing arts sector in through a national campaign to build awareness of the quality of music, dance, theatre and film within the state.
The central feature of the promotion was a full-color brochure that provided information about Maine's unique and diverse performing arts offerings. This brochure was released at the Governors Conference on Tourism in February 2011 and was available at targeted tourist destinations and performing arts venues throughout the region as well as online.
