Description
Petition from Colonel Charles Roberts and other officers to Governor Israel Washburn requesting the discharge of the regiment due to lack of clothing, ill health of the soldiers, and mutiny. He states that 58 men refused service and were sent by General Scott to the Dry Tortugas in the Gulf of Mexico as punishment.
