Description

Photograph of the inner harbor in Camden, taken from the Chestnut Street Baptist Church steeple. The long light-colored building in the foreground is the Alden Anchor factory, begun in 1866, which was known for manufacturing some of the largest anchors in the world. Many boathouses are visible along the left side known as the head of the harbor, and Eaton’s field is in the background. Today, most of these buildings are gone and the site of the anchor factory is now a parking lot.
